Standalone Disclaimers — HomeKampung
v0.3.9 · Last revised 6 November 2026 · In force since 1 Nov 2026
The short, plain-language lines HomeKampung shows at the moments they matter, collected here so you can read them in one place. Each also appears on the page named under it.
On every shop page, and at checkout next to the payment details
We're a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers — we don't process payments, and any purchase is a direct agreement between you and the seller.
Shown in the strip under every shop's header, reshaped around the shop's name ("You pay {shop} directly…"), and again at checkout under the PayNow details. "How ordering works", linked from every shop page, explains the whole flow in the same terms.
Since 19 October 2026 the same strip carries a second line, and the payment step repeats it under the total:
Only pay the PayNow or bank details shown at checkout. If anyone asks you to pay a different account, report it.
"Report it" opens the shop-report form; the footer of every shop page carries "Report this shop" and HomeKampung's support address as well.
On every receipt a Seller issues
[Shop name] is the seller of record for this transaction. HomeKampung is a discovery platform, is not a party to this sale, and does not process payments. No GST charged — seller is not GST-registered.
(The last sentence appears only while the Seller has declared they are not GST-registered; a GST-registered Seller's registration number is printed instead, and no GST claim is made on their behalf.)
At seller sign-up, and on "How ordering works"
Sellers are solely responsible for the legality, safety, and compliance of what they sell — food safety, product safety standards, and any required licences.
Printed verbatim at sign-up and on the How ordering works page that every shop links to. It is not printed on the shop page itself.
In all of our seller-facing marketing
HomeKampung does not guarantee any level of sales or income. We bring discovery tools; results depend on your products, pricing, and effort.
On the pricing page, on the "Run a home business?" card, and in any advertisement or post we publish. Every growth claim we make must be honest and evidence-based.
Wherever a trust label appears
Verified = document reviewed and approved by our team. Self-declared = seller's own unverified declaration. We don't guarantee compliance — buyer judgement always applies.
The self-declared label reads "Muslim-owned (self-declared)" wherever it appears; both labels carry this meaning in their hover text and on How ordering works. The Seller Verification & Trust Policy says exactly what each label means and does not mean.
On "How reviews work", about search engines
Star ratings and review snippets in Google search are shown at Google's discretion. HomeKampung marks up each product page with its verified reviews so search engines can read them, but does not control whether, when or how Google shows them, and does not control Google reviews of a seller's own Google listing.
Added 26 October 2026 with the product-page structured data. A product page carries a rating in that markup only once it has at least three verified reviews.
